What We Do

MHCI Healthier Choices Initiative — Our free health program funded by the Maryland Department of Health, Office of Minority Health & Health Disparities covers: Healthy Food, Nutrition Education, Exercise, Clinical Access (Nurse Practitioner), and Client Navigation Support to wraparound services. This program is mainly executed through our three (3) Monday a month Hubs hosted at Solid Rock Church as well as on some evenings and Saturday events. Check out our event page to see what is next!

Youth Service Ambassador Program (SAP) — This service mentoring program is shaping caring and informed young community stewards who grow and lead as we serve in our community. This program is specifically for middle and high school students. Young people in our area can sign up to be part of SAP hereand to serve with ushere. Additional youth programming is accomplished through our Homework Club (elementary & middle school students) and Summer Slide Prevention Program for elementary school through rising ninth grade students.

Advocate - Metamorphosis is part of the Purple Line Corridor Coalition (PLCC) an innovative public-private-community collaboration working to leverage Maryland’s largest transit investment in the 21st century to ensure equitable growth for all who live, work and invest in the corridor. Their work is guided by the goals and vision laid out in the Community Development Agreement for the Purple Line Corridor, which was developed through an extensive stakeholder engagement process.
